JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain was born on March 24 1977. She is an American actress, producer and model. Most famous for her roles in films with feminist themes. she has been awarded numerous awards which include an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential people worldwide in 2012. Chastain was an actor with a passion at an early age. She made her stage debut in the role of Shakespeare's Juliet in 1998. After studying acting at Juilliard School, she was offered a talent contract with John Wells. She appeared as regular guest on a variety of television shows and played roles in several stage productions. After her debut in film at the age of 31, in the drama Jolene (2008), Chastain made her mark in 2011 with six film releases, including the dramas Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2011). Chastain received Academy Award nominations for playing an aspiring socialite in the period drama The Help (2011) and as a CIA analyst in the thriller Zero Dark Thirty (2012). The science-fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) had more success commercially. Chastain received further acclaim for her role as a strong-willed woman in the dramas A Very violent Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016) and Molly's Game (2017), and the television miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (2021). In the role of Tammy Faye Bakker, she received the Academy Award for Best Actress as well as Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21) and Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21).
