Rubi Rose Benton was born on the 2nd of October, 1997 in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was raised by Nardos Ghebrelul, her mother, who is an Eritrean dentist from the country of immigrants who was born in Ethiopia as well as John Benton, her father, who is a lawyer with Japanese, African American and European descent.
