Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic as well as Ilkay Silk - a talented actor as well as a writer, director, and producer. Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is a "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's earliest memories of attending rehearsals for play and watching her mother's her job. Anna appeared in numerous commercials as a kid. In November 1999, Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career, eventually making the move into Los Angeles, California, within the next decade.
